Since I've never done this before, what type of finances will we need for the trip?
Food? How do we go in together? Or just buy what we will eat?
Drinks? Same thing?
Things to do? Are there certain activities we will do that we will need more mullah for?
Thank you for helping to lead the blind

On our IOP trip, we all brought alcohol and everybody shared.
We had 55+ bottles.
People brought water, soda, juice and things like that and we shared.
People brought their own snacks, we also went to the grocery store and bought chips, snacks and etc.
If you had something you did NOT want to share, you put your name on it. That was the system, which everyone pretty much shared.
We went out to eat and we went to the movies.
Melissa did an awesome job of cooking breakfast/brunch 2 mornings and that was great.
Charlotte fixed lasagna one night and everyone loved that.
I know that Boone has the Tanger Outlet stores if you wanted to shop.
if you havent been to Blowing Rock, there are lots of little gift shops and etc.
You can take all of your drinks/snacks/meals from home or just plan to take your mulah and buy it when you get there!
Sounds good to me! I have NO problem with sharing :o) Because someone else may have something I like that I have never tried or thought of ;o)
As far as cooking, I make Yummy french toast,a great fettucinni alfredo with bacon. I know it sounds crazy but it is yummy and I know I didn't spell fettucinnni right either (ha ha). I also make great meatloaf!! There is a dip I make too that is a "taco" dip. It has cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, tomatoes, salsa and cheese that I could eat in one serving. You scoop it up with tortilla chips. I'm not much of a cook, but those are things that I make that no one ever complains about :o) I'll be happy to make pancakes too!!
I am down with sharing as well!! I am not too big on personals lol. So what's mine is yours :)
I am not a cook. I have nothing to offer in that category!!! But I can always assist or set the table haha!!!
I can make a mean ziti but that's about it!
There's a restaurant there I've always wanted to try that serves everything family style.
What's the name of the restaurant? Is there a website?
I am bringing my own chef ;o) Kirstin (threescompanymom) is a very good cook, and she actually enjoys it. If anyone wants a mean bacon wrapped filet mingon, I can do that, and I make good french toast. I'll bring the tequila, do we need the gallon jug? :o) I have a waffle iron too, anyone for chocolate chip waffles? I am all for sharing!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to cook, and have a pretty wide repertoire. Not a chef by profession, but have been classically trained. I would be happy to make any of our meals, if anyone wants me to.
Tequilla? Did someone say my drink of choice? :p)
All I've got to say is...
one tequilla,
two tequila,
three tequilla,
FLOOR!!
This holds true for me. can't handle the clear stuff. Ugh@
but as for the regular stuff, ohhhhh booooyyy!! Just dont tell my DH ;o)
